The Fellowship team is super excited to be finalists in all three of the categories at the UK Dev Awards we entered.

The three are:

  • App of the Year for SaveMoneyCutCarbon
  • Third Sector Website of the Year for NHS Suffolk & NE Essex Integrated Care Board
  • Dev Agency of the Year (medium sized)

It’s a great accolade for our 19 strong team, which specialises in strategy, branding, creative and digital. From our office next to the A14 near Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk, we work with clients operating across the UK, Europe and the US.

Our focus is on helping clients grow. We do so by sticking to proven marketing principles, rather than jumping on passing fads. We believe in intelligent marketing informed by strong strategy and brought to life by compelling creative, combined with deep digital and technical expertise.

For SaveMoneyCutCarbon we created a revolutionary new app that helps people make greener lifestyle choices in their home and cut costs at the same time. While it’s not going to save the planet single-handedly, it will make a valuable contribution to reducing the carbon footprint of thousands of households. We’re delighted to be helping to make a difference to such a crucial cause.

The design of our website for NHS Suffolk & NE Essex Integrated Care Board is driven by a desire to make it easily accessible to people with a wide range of hearing, movement, sight and cognitive abilities. By doing so, the site supports social inclusion and improves overall user experience and satisfaction. A key requirement of the brief was to meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, which the new site has succeeded in doing.

With an inhouse team of nine talented web developers and designers, we’re not entirely shocked to be up for a dev agency of the year award. Our digital expertise is extensive and includes bespoke development, software integration, E-commerce websites and WordPress multisites.

We’ve applied these capabilities to multiple clients and brands.

Examples include Flexiteek, the world’s leading producer of synthetic teak decking for the boating market. To support their ambitious plans for global expansion, we’ve refreshed their brand identity and messaging, developed a coherent marketing strategy, designed new marketing collateral and produced a portfolio of multilingual websites using WordPress multisites.

We’ve also built more than 100 multisites for Genesee & Wyoming, a US-based freight railroad client, using AlpineJS to improve speed and functionality.

Our outstanding dev team would be the first to acknowledge the vital role and contributions of their colleagues – strategists, copywriters, account managers and designers – in ensuring we consistently meet and regularly exceed client expectations.

We believe another critical factor in our success is our collaborative and supportive team culture, which underpins everything we do. Also, our focus on building long term, mutually rewarding partnerships with our clients. We only grow if they grow, so helping them do so is the starting point for all our work.

Fellowship founder and MD, Darren Hickey, said: “We celebrated our 20th anniversary last year and this is the first time we’ve entered any awards, so we’re thrilled to have done so well. It’s a great testament to the quality of work our team delivers and the standards we set ourselves. We’re eagerly awaiting the results and wish everyone involved good luck for the big night.”
