After an exciting 2021, we finished the year on a high by discovering we’d been shortlisted for five UK Dev Awards, including B2B Website of the Year, Project of the Year, and Best Employer-Large, and being recognised for our work was a truly exciting moment.
When deciding what to submit for award consideration, we knew we wanted to offer up One + All, as well as CarMats.co.uk, as we felt these two projects showed off what our team could do. One+All were keen to implement a self-serve online ordering portal that allowed them to scale their business, and we saw incredible results with the site we designed which allowed them to use their team’s time more efficiently and increase their online order volume, as well as generating some great feedback from their customers.
Equally, when creating the website for CarMats.co.uk, we implemented several innovative features designed to make the website as user friendly as possible, including designing a custom vehicle look-up system connected to the DVLA database, creating a custom reviews widget that acts as an incredible trust signal, and launching personalisation options to allow the user to make bespoke purchases.
We were also keen to apply for Best Employer because we’re committed to putting our people before profits and we support the wellbeing and happiness of our staff through a variety of initiatives. During the pandemic, we adopted a remote-first approach to work and as we’ve transitioned out of lockdown, we’ve continued to allow our team to work from wherever they feel most comfortable. We’ve also implemented flexitime working, establishing our core hours between 10 am-3 pm, making it easier for our staff to work around childcare needs and other priorities. Alongside this, we’ve implemented things like an in-house culture team who take care of D&I, CSR and wellbeing, and we’ve partnered with Sanctus to offer our staff monthly free mental health coaching. Seeing the marked difference this has made on the team has been so incredibly rewarding, and has shown us that when you invest in your people, everything else just falls into place.

Our Head of Development, Sam Biggins said of being shortlisted for five awards:
“Being shortlisted for these awards is great recognition for the amazing work the team has achieved in the last year. I am very proud of the team we have built here and look forward to the results.”
We can’t wait for the ceremony to find out if we’ll be taking any of the awards home, but whether we win or not, we’ll still be celebrating the huge achievement of being nominated.
Who Is Evoluted?
Evoluted is a web development and digital marketing agency based in Sheffield, specialising in harnessing innovative tech to help our clients create with purpose, build with agility, and grow at scale. We work with a variety of clients across many different sectors, and have so far picked up a few awards for our work which we’re thrilled about!
We started our agency growth journey in 2006 as a two-man band developing a website for Weebls Stuff (creators of Badgers, Badgers, Badgers if you’ve heard of it!), and in 2022 we’ve grown to a team of 39 experts covering everything from development, to SEO, paid media and more, while maintaining our passion for building exciting products and helping other businesses grow.
During our 16 years in business, we’ve cemented our values and believe this has been intrinsic to our success. As the size of our team has grown, our commitment to our people, our community, and the environment has remained absolute. For our office, we’ve invested heavily in wellbeing initiatives, support for truly flexible working, and creating a workplace where everybody feels respected and valued. When it comes to our city, we regularly host free digital marketing events designed to light a fire under the North’s most talented marketers. We do this because we believe passionately in empowering our people to be the best they can be, and we never plan to change that.
It might be a big statement, but we’re committed to being a better class of agency that shakes off the perception of being shady (or worse- boring!) and is constantly improving what we do and how we do it. And most importantly? We’re here to have fun.
If you’d like to find out more about what we do, you can check out our website, or follow us on our socials over at Twitter, Linkedin, Instagram or Facebook.
For now, all that is left to say is that we’re so excited for the big award ceremony, and we’d like to wish the best of luck to everyone that has been nominated for an award!
